SYNOPSIS

Monday at 06Z... a broad, weakly amplified ridge is oriented north-south along 15E and moving slowly eastward, while a trough over Russia and the Ukraine digs southeastward. A jet over the Atlasntic is expected to move just north of Scotland while cyclogenesis takes place in its left exit region. The atmospheric stability seems not to allow for any significant thunderstorm activity, although a few isolated strikes over the Norwegian Sea are not ruled out.
